Some Say an Apple a Day, We Say Cider in Mahone Bay!

Sip, Savour and Celebrate, on Nova Scotia’s South Shore, where GOOD times are a SHORE thing and the reasons to sip, savour and celebrate are second nature! We believe all other bucket lists “pail” in comparison to ours and we’ve just added a Cider Festival to the Do More List!

While Mahone Bay may not be the home of an apple orchard to roam and you might have thought your search would lead to the church there’s SHORE more than that brewing here this May!

Mahone Bay and Salt Box Brewing Company will be hosting the very first Appleseed Cider Festival on May 14th and welcoming cider sippers to gather in celebration of all things cider, including tasty morsels perfectly paired with your cider samples

Yes, you heard right, cider sippers unite! Come for the sip, savour & sample and stay for the celebration. Never put your eggs in one basket or your apples in one pail, a day trip just won’t be enough, seeing all there is will be tough!

Enjoy a weekend adventure with an overnight stay at Kitch’inn or River Ridge Lodge, nosh on wood fired pizza while dome dining at betty’s.

Create memories to last a life time with Amos Pewter’s “For the Love of Seafood”, a one of a kind experience that takes you behind the scenes and has you leaving with your own pewter lobster claw or sand dollar treasure that you’ll be admiring and talking about during your seafood-centric meal at Rebecca’s Restaurant.

Bring your bike or go for a hike on one of the many trails that connect in, through and near Mahone Bay. With unique shops such as Suttles & Seawinds and The Teazer and photo worthy moments around each corner you’ll take pictures galore, make memories and more!

We’re a community that loves our celebrations, you might have heard us say “Nova Scotia’s South Shore, where GOOD time are a SHORE thing” and letting a local show you the sites sits high on the top of the celebration must do check list! Sit back, relax and allow Seaweed Tours to do the driving, Nancy’s got a thing or two to tell you!
