Make Your Way By Water

While we often think of visitors travelling to and around our beautiful province via planes, trains and automobiles, with a billing like “Canada’s Ocean Playground” we need also recognize there are many folks who arrive via that great Atlantic blue. Fortunately for those travellers – whether with sail or powered boat – we’ve got plenty of ports in which to safely dock when you make your way by water to Nova Scotia’s South Shore.

Of course, in the words of that wise Roman Philosopher Seneca “If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favourable.” Good thing then, that we’ve got a stellar selection all the way along our coastline so that no matter your destination there’s a special spot to dock.

And as you might imagine – with well over 50 to choose from – there’s plenty of variety in each of their offerings. Some are public and offer a convenient wharf for a short visit to nearby shops while others offer fueling and service, with extended stay slips for vacationers. Some offer dockside dining, resort experiences and even cozy cottages and campgrounds just steps away from the water’s edge.

You’ll find a complete list below along with their respective locations so that you can find the perfect port to fit your plans here on Nova Scotia’s South Shore.
