Welcome to the Lobster Capital of Canada!

We can’t wait to welcome you to this Nova Scotia South Shore’s festival destination – Shelburne County. Located on the Southern end of Nova Scotia’s South Shore, Shelburne County is home to pristine white sand beaches, majestic lighthouses, communities rich in culture and heritage, fine seafood dining and outdoor adventure!

Come and experience the Lobster Capital of Canada during Shelburne County’s Lobster Festival.
Enjoy a weekend full of family fun activities, events and of course, lots of lobster!

Celebrate or should we say “shellebrate” the end of our Lobster season (November to May) and the importance of the lobster fishing industry to the economy, history and culture of the area.

Shelburne County Lobster Festival is fun for everyone!
Take a hike and grab a bite, get creamed, take in the tinker or the lobsterman challenge, share your light bulb moments during trivia or gaze at the boats under the lights. The choice is yours, feed your belly or your senses.. and may we suggest all of the above!
