Forging Lunenburg Memories
Welcome to the Wildertools forge, walking distance from the historic town of Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Blacksmiths, known as the “village smithy” were an integral part of historic communities. Are you curious about the craft and how Wildertools creates quality knives? Want to try something new and have a few laughs? If so, this experience is for you! Get a glimpse into the methods, tools and art of a modern bladesmith, before swinging the hammer and crafting your very own forged keepsake! Package Includes:
- Guided introduction into the art of bladesmithing with professional smith, Rick Marchand, whose clients include local chefs, international knife collectors and the Hollywood film industry
- Hands-on forging demonstration to see how Rick crafts his award-winning blades
- Create your own custom piece: swing a hammer at hot steel and use the skills of the trade to craft your own forged piece
- Flavours of Lunenburg gift basket, including a selection of locally roasted coffee from Laughing Whale Coffee Roasters, as well as flavours and products from local business partners
- Wildertools forge is accessible, so mobility challenges should not prevent you from experiencing the art of bladesmithing

Want to make it a getaway? Guests of Wildertools have exclusive access to book the onsite loft apartment, located above the forge. This open concept apartment has a queen bed, sitting area and fully equipped kitchen. Add a one-night stay to your package for $135.
