Winter

We take our fresh air fun very seriously here on the South Shore – and by that, we mean a seriously long list of wonderful ways to enjoy it – especially in winter. We won’t deny the cozy appeal of our lovely places to stay, but if you’re headed to this incredible region in the wintertime we really hope you’re layer up and love every aspect of our great outdoors.
Winter is a perfect time to hit the trails on two feet, on four wheels, maybe even on horseback – through wandering wooded areas, along the shoreline and across bridges above sweeping rivers.
And while you’re feeling adventurous why not try your hand at something new – take aim at axe throwing, learn to surf those winter waves, kayak and camp beneath a star-filled sky – it’s the perfect season for fresh starts and stellar times.
Of course, you could simply chose to relax and rejuvenate at Nova Scotia’s first Nordic Spa, or travel back in time as you take a horse-drawn carriage ride around a turn of the century farm – and if you’re a birder well then you’ll know winter is a wonderful time to spot a phenomenal array of feathered friends.
We could go on and on, but rather than run out of room we’ll simply promise to deliver something for everyone this winter. We’ll see you when you get here!
