
The second of Lunenburg Yacht Club’s Coastal Rowing Tours will be happening on August 23rd, taking you along the eastern shore of 2nd Peninsula, stopping for a break at Backman’s Beach. Following the break, you will row around the tip of the Peninsula and stop for lunch at Heckman’s Island. Then, if weather and tides allow, you will row through the islands of the ‘Back Harbour’ before returning to LYC!
Distance: approximately 18-20km
• Participants should be prepared to row for 15-20 kms/day in unpredictable coastal waters with wind and waves
• Participants should be competent scullers with at least one full season of rowing experience
• Participants should be rowing regularly preceding the tour, and/or have a level of fitness and previous rowing experience to allow them to participate safely
